In light of SB34's new SAHM status, I feel sure we should raise a glass (or ten...) and have another get together?

The last one at the Old Bell in Oxted was great fun, but a few were unable to make it, so anyone up for another one now?

Sykes, Eemie, Pupuce, Angelmother, Soupie ?(and everyone else - my memory fails me, sorry).....

cheers MO2, I mentioned to my dh that I'm going and he's moaning cause all of a sudden I'll be going out 3 times in 3 weeks, but I've only been out 4 times without him in 2 years so It's hardly anything is it?
Its not my fault he's grown old before his time and has only been out once! I think I prefer it this way though!

You must go. I went to the last one - current circumstances mean I'm not really up for this one but I bet you have a brilliant time.

Sorry, don't check out the meet-up threads that often so I missed this one until Metrobaby kindly informed me.

Unfortunately, won't be able to make it this time, but would love to be considered for the next one.

Have a great time!

Anyone else fancy an Indian???

Date: Monday 1st Sept
Time: 8 pm OK for all (or prefer 7.30 pm)
Place: The India Dining, Warlingham
(Get yourself to Warlingham Green (weird triangle-about with parking around it) and there are 2 Indians. Warlingham Tandoori (trad looking Indian) and India Dining (v.modern looking).

SB34 - do you have a tel number? Could you let me have, and I will book (unless you could?)
Also - do you want me to pick you up, as I will be driving? Anyone else looking for lifts?

If you ever have a meet up that is in Kent, I'd love to attend. This is a bit too far for me to travel. Hope you all have a great time though.

Eemie, I've lost your telephone no etc. I'd love to meet up if you have time to catch up etc. Sorry to hijack thread.

Mo2, just confirming I'm still coming!

Also happy to offer anyone lift - I'll be coming from the Addiscombe area.

sb34, can't believe it slipped your mind that the Indian Dining is located right next door to a pub?!
Ye Olde Leather Bottle, if I'm not mistaken! (I was passing that way from Godstone Farm and happened to notice!)

MO2 I ONLY LIVE DOWN THE ROAD, BUT WAS THINKING OF DRIVING SINCE I DON'T LIKE THE IDEA OF WALKING HOME ON MY OWN! BUT IF SB34 GETTING A LIFT I WOULD'NT FEEL GUILTY ABOUT SAYING YES TO OFFER SINCE I ONLY LIVE ROUND CORNER FROM HER, NOT REALLY NICE FOR PEOPLE TO GET IN MY CAR SINCE IT SMELLS OF MY DOG- COULD CLEAN IT UP I KNOW BUT I'M GOING TO APPT AT HOSPITAL ON 1ST IN PM TO DISCUSS OPERATION ON MY EAR BOOKED FOR NEXT MONTH SO COULD'NT AND LITTLE DRINK IN EVENING WILL PROBABLY COME IN HANDY!
BUT WOULD STILL ALSO BE HAPPY TO DRIVE MYSELF THOUGH.

Happyface - I'll come and pick you up too - could you contact me with your details (address and a contact number)

Also - do you have access to The Indian Dining's tel number - I want to make sure we get it booked, and I haven't heard from SB34 yet, so if we're not careful we'll all be round to her (or your!) place!

Thanks for that MiriamW.
OK - it's booked for 8 pm. (That OK with folks?)

Stupidly I forgot to mention the 'M' word (Mumsnet), but it's the only booking for 7 at the moment.

SB34 - I'll call you re chauffeur arrangements
Happyface - not sure if I'm going to get your details in time - have you sent via 'contact another talker' through Mumsnet? (Don't suppose anyone will be forwarding them over the weekend though?)

Yes I'm definitely coming though timing will depend on getting ds2 asleep! Just trying to work out what is in my wardrobe that I can still fit into post-pg and hasn't been permanently stained by carrot puree... Have just done a huge Next shop accepting my larger size for this season, but it doesn't arrive until tomorrow.

So I'll be the one in a nightshirt and tracksuit bottoms then

Girls - I am afraid I have to bow out this time. DH has just informed me he has to work late tonight, and there is no alternative babysitter

Mo2 · 01/09/2003 15:57

Too bad Metrobaby - good job we don't know where you live - we could have got a take away and come to yours!

Hope to see you next time...

MiriamW - what about a Kaftan - it is an Indian after all.....
I still can't get into many of my pre-PG clothes, and it's 12 months later.....

Yes - lovely to see everyone, and great food - I got home and was making dh quite jealous describing it!

Pleased to report that I got home safely without being told to perform any 'legal U turns'

It was lovely to see you again Mo2 and SB34, and to meet MiriamW and Jodee. Thanks for the lift home. MiriamW I hadn't read your posts about what to wear and I thought you looked great in that pink top. Forgot to pick up a takeaway menu so need to go back very soon...
