Hi there,
We've received the following media request.
Thanks,
MNHQ
I'm a journalist working on BBC World Service, The Food* *Chain programme. We're making an episode about the transition when children leave home for university.
We're looking to speak to families with teenagers who are preparing to leave for university this September, as well as parents who are experiencing (or have recently experienced) becoming "empty nesters."
In particular, we'd love to hear from:
- Parents currently helping a son or daughter get ready to leave home for university this autumn.
- Young people about to move away for the first time and learning the practical skills they'll need, such as cooking/ food batch preparation
- Parents whose children have already left home and are adjusting to cooking for fewer people.
We're hoping to record with a family in early August, ideally in or around the North West (particularly near Manchester) - we'd most likely want to do this inside their home.
If anyone is interested in taking part, or would like to find out more before deciding, please contact [email protected]
