Hi there,
We've received the following media request.
Thanks,
MNHQ
We’re working on a piece about in‑game spending in video games (e.g. Fortnite, Roblox, EA Sports FC), and how systems like “loot boxes” and in-app purchases are affecting families – there have been changes to how these are marketed and advertised.
We’re keen to speak to parents whose children have spent money in games—particularly where the costs weren’t fully understood at the time or came as a surprise.
We’re looking to speak to contributors for a programme airing on 15th June and are flexible on how and when this can be recorded. Happy to speak to people off record in the first instance.
We will not be looking to make this a ‘gaming is bad’ item, we are just looking to illustrate how this area works and has changed.
