I'm searching for female interviewees in midlife (45 and over) and based in the UK who have experienced their first mental health issue - a crisis which has had a significant impact on them and their life - over the age of 45.
For this piece, for Fabulous Magazine, it would need to be the first time mental health has affected you. The piece is about the increasing number of midlife women experiencing mental health issues for the first time.
Of course to feel able and comfortable to speak openly you would be recovered now having received support (although they would ask the crisis had happened within the past 5-6 years) and you would need to be happy to be named and photographed. They can pay a £100 thank you and offer a telephone read back of your part within the piece.
They will also be speaking to experts about why mental health issues now seem so increasingly widespread for this age group, and the challenges facing midlife.
