Surely nobody does this? In this day and age? Are there really still women so desperate to get married that they buy the frock before meeting the man?

Can you imagine the reverse? "I was so desperate to have my dream wedding I bought the suit before I met the girl?"

Just ridiculous. The journalist either has their examples because this is a thing or they've just dreamed this up and are on a fishing expedition.
