Hello, my name is Kasia Delgado and I'm a feature writer at the i. I'm talking to people who are estranged from a parent - and then that parent gets ill, and they have to decide what to do. Of course, this is sparked by Meghan and her dad, but that's not the point or focus of my feature.
If anyone on Mumsnet would like to tell me how they handled this very tough situation, I'd be so appreciative. I'd love to hear from your real, lived experience, about how tough it can be.
It can of course be anonymous, and I'd be sensitive and nuanced. I've spoken to a lot of estranged adult children/ people in low or no contact with family, and so I'd not be sensationalist or judgemental.
