Hi there,

We've received the following request.

Thanks,
MNHQ

I'd like to speak to a couple who've remarried in their 70s about how to navigate a lifetime's worth of baggage and experiences and how they cope when a partner is set in their ways on a particular thing. Please contact [email protected]

This is me! Growing up my family always read The Mirror and were left leaning. At first I felt the same but as I grew up my views became more right wing. Brexit? Love it! ECHR? Hate it! Small boats? Stop it! Etc.

Anyway, I could never bring myself to buy a newspaper that reflected my views as it felt like betraying my family. As a single woman in my 60s I did notice my neighbour (a single gentleman around my age) got a copy of The Telegraph delivered to his doorstep every day. My interest was piqued.

I used to search through his recycling to find yesterday's copy to read (even though recycling is woke nonsense) but one day he caught me. We started chatting and realised how much we had in common, we had both lost our original spouse, we both love Boris and agreed things were better in our day. I realised there was an easier way for me to access his newspaper so we started a relationship. 10 years after our initial meeting we wed and that's how I remarried in my 70s for The Telegraph.

Hope this helps.
