Nutrition course - so many out there? Which one do you recommend?

I am in the lucky position of having a good job in pharma, but we had few waves of redundancies as the company heavily investing in AI. I looked at doing a dietician course but I can't afford to stop working at the moment. So I am thinking a nutrition course part time, with health coaching as that's a topic that really interests me. The hope is to do that on the side so I have something to fall back into? Has anyone tried something similar and are able to recommend a good training provider?

What is your long term aim? Are you making it to be a career or just a hobby?

The aim is for this to become my job and then drop what I do to a part-time basis or go freelance (if I can ride the AI wave!).

Thank you. I could do an MSc but I can't afford to do that full time just yet, so I was thinking of doing a nutrition certificate first. Or will that be a waste of time?

Dietitian here. Please do a proper accredited course from the BDA or Nutrition Society. There is so much misinformation out there purported by quacks that is really quite dangerous. If you can do a course in a weekend that should ring alarm bells. My degree was 4 years of 30hours of lectures a week, plus placements in NHS throughout holidays

I agree with @Hamiltonfan I wouldn’t touch an unqualified person with a barge pole if I needed a dietitian. My children have seen them several times.

If people just want to tweak their diets rather than have a medical need then they’re likely to turn to AI or websites with advice.

I am a healthcare professional myself so completely understand and hence the question. I am not looking for a shortcut but just want to build my knowledge over time. Or do a part-time course if that's an option.
