He's 25, got 11 good GCSEs (all A) and BCC at A level - we think he picked the wrong subjects, but hey ho. He didn't want to go to uni at 18, got a job.

He also has a DIP, gained in his job since then.

He's now thinking about going to uni, to do Law. He's concerned that his A levels aren't going to be good enough, even tho he's got 7 years of life experience and a DIP!

How does he go about looking into/applying for uni for next Sept? Where can he find the help he would have got at 18 in college?

If he’s currently at Lloyds OP, he should talk to the in-house legal team for advice and tell them he wants to join them. I did a law degree but didn’t do post grad study due to illness and ended up as a paralegal at a FTSE 100 insurer. I made a name for myself there and was offered a job in the legal department who then sponsored my post grad training so I could qualify. It was hard work as I worked and studied at the same time but it gave me an amazing grounding and I now head up an in house legal team.
Encourage him to use his contacts - insurance is a small world and if he is already well regarded, he should leverage that hard work.

Clyde & Co are specialists in both Marine and Insurance I believe, they might be worth targeting. Anyway, good luck to him.
