Go for it. Good for the brain, good for getting out and meeting people, good for pursuing a hobby and learning new things about it. You probably won't be the only mature student on the course, either.

Thank you 😁

Level 4 is quite high up in college grading systems. You would probably need to provide evidence that you can work at that level in that area.

Go for it 🙂 I work at a college and we have many people in their 50s, 60s and even 70s studying various courses.

I started a Masters last year at 58. It's related to my work but not at all necessary. Plenty of people do my
job with L2 and L3. It's good fun, I have met people I'd never have met before and I love learning new things. Go for it!

Sandra the Surbiton Scooter Lady used to whizz past my bus most days as I went to and from school. She must have been mid 70s then!

Interesting, I was just wondering similar!

Just one thing: as someone who took an MA in their mid-fifties I would have been furious to discover I’d missed the age deadline to qualify for a Government Postgraduate Loan by weeks or days!

Maybe not relevant to you, OP, but people should note that to get that loan they must be under 60 on the first day of the course.

Level 4 is pretty easy, you will be fine. Go for it!

Yes, I think I've taken the longest gap year in history, I'm off to start year 3 of a full time uni course in September & I studied the first two years 20 years ago.
