I am the only one in my family without a degree and that does annoy me. I am hitting 50 and would love to do something part time as I work etc and do not want to retrain as I like the job I do but I would love to just be able to say I have a degree in something.

If you want a pseudo subject try media studies.

I wouldn’t disagree. But it’s not the only pseudo-subject.

I did a 2 year degree in law -called senior status - mostly aimed at graduates but sone places you didn't need to be a grad to do it.

But you had to hit ground running and first year results count 40-50% towards final mark. So skills like essay writing and exams, you need to be good at.

Or you could maybe do a masters in corporate governance-university of law. May suit your accounting background (I have found it handy)

Might you be able to go directly into a masters degree? Worth finding out if your professional experience or other qualifications would count in lieu of a degree. I have know this happen to a couple of people.

I'd definitely recommend the OU. Some great courses and you don't have to specialise immediately.

Currently studying towards a BSc Psychology with counselling via the OU. Will take six years to do part time. Distance learning does mean you have to be good at managing your time well though. Good luck whatever you decide to do.
