Courses that offer job role? Returning to work after dc

Hello everyone, I want to retrain/reskill and get back into work after having dc years ago.

im still quite young, late 20s. I have been looking into apprenticeships (I don’t want to do a degree), I’m not sure what apprenticeship id want to do but have looked into cyber security, hr and finance. it doesn’t necessarily have to be an apprenticeship, I just want to be able to reskill and get a job so a course that I know I will get the skills I need.

are there any courses that would offer a job role after completion? Maybe a company that hires you to do the course and then there’s a job after it’s completed?

I don’t know where to look or what I am looking for. I’m not sure if I should look/contact companies directly rather than just looking at websites that list apprenticeships near me

thanks for any advice

I'm sure there are plenty - my DH takes on claims handlers with no experience at all, and pays for them to do all their professional exams (as far as they want to take it) and they can progress through while working. He has an HR assistant who is in a similar position as well.
I think you are better getting a role with development opportunities rather than an apprenticeship tbh

Thank you, maybe a job role with career progression would be a better idea than an apprenticeship you’re right. I mean, doesn’t necessarily have to be an apprenticeship either.

I have a degree in digital photography and a-level business, a foundation diploma in media production. Nothing very worthwhile to be honest.

It is worthwhile. Graphic design. Digital marketing. Look at google squared or CIM with your A levels.

@CMOTDibbler does your DH work in London?

I am looking for a way out of teaching but despite my 12 years of experience and lots of transferable skills (all of which I highlight on my cv) I am never shortlisted for any role.
