Title probably covers it really, but could anyone advise re the above please? It's a degree unrelated to my first, would be part time as I work full time, and I'm in England. Thanks in advance.

Thank you. When you say standard, you mean for any second degree too? As in I don't want to do a Masters. Thanks

Do you mean you want to do a second BA level degree? I wouldn’t advise it. Having a first degree means you’re likely to be accepted onto a masters level course - even if unrelated to your previous subject. Professional or voluntary experience, or any evidence of engagement with the new subject would all help to get you in. (Unless perhaps it’s a leap from History to Medicine?)

If you mean any other postgraduate degree - have a look at the guidance on the website. There’s a separate section for PhD loans, too.

It’s hard to fund a second “first degree”, especially in England where fees are so ridiculously high. Is there a postgrad conversion you could do?

Yes - that was the point I meant to make - financially you’re far better off finding a suitable postgrad route.

Sorry all, I'd turned off notifications... Big thanks for taking the time to respond, I'll look into a Masters instead.
