Is there such a thing as doing a course in something like history without doing exams/coursework. Just to learn for the love of learning without the pressure of being assessed? Don’t want a qualification just enjoy learning but find coursework etc too stressful.

How about looking at whether your local U3A has a History group?

You could do a MOOC and just follow the videos / transcripts without doing any work.

I’ve taken short, free courses with Future Learn and CourseEra - they’re ok as introductions.

But really, in something like History you could construct your own course of study, if all you want to do is read / watch / listen without any tutor / peer interaction or exams.

Look up Oxford Short Courses.

I like the interaction and group learning, it’s just with being dyslexic I find coursework etc overwhelming. I don’t like the proving what I’ve learnt and understood if that makes sense

WEA National homepage | WEA

The page is down at the moment as they're preparing to launch a new website. It's supposed to be back on Tuesday.

Also see what Adult Education your local authority has on offer.

And if you have a university nearby, there are sometimes free public lectures.
