Can someone recommend an easy low carb diet for a low appetite eater?

I want to follow a low carb diet to get rid of my puffy face. I’m not technically overweight but I’m puffy and flabby. I’m also chronically severely anaemic so exercise is difficult.

I have little appetite so can eat pretty much anything but I don’t like faff so am looking for a simple diet to follow. Due to my crappy appetite I’m happy to eat the same stuff every day (I do now anyway but it’s all carbs)

my current diet -
breakfast - porridge
lunch - small peanut butter sandwhich
dinner - pasta variation

I’m not great with eggs but I do like quiche thank you!

I’m a bit worried that you have quite a few health issues. Would you talk to a dietitian?

I saw your other thread asking about your sister’s issues with food - sounds like you have some too!

You need more protein, more veg/salad and a whole lot less carbohydrate.

So:

Breakfast - two boiled eggs, or some full fat Greek yoghurt with berries
Lunch - tuna/chicken salad, with an oily dressing and/or mayo
Dinner - some form of protein with leafy green veg; some kind of creamy/cheesy sauce

… as a starter for 10

I sometimes have a bit of broccoli with dinner 😬 I know it’s terrible, I’m hoping low carbing will help incorporate veg into my diet

I’d love to but I can’t afford to go private and I can’t imagine I’d get it on NHS as my BMI is fine

Courgetti instead of spaghetti, cauliflower rice instead of rice. Would focus on upping nutrients more than low carb.

A dietitian isn’t always about losing weight, in fact it mostly isn’t. I’m concerned that this limited a diet may be one of the reasons you have things like anaemia and puffiness (but I’m not a doctor so I could easily be wrong). Google community dietetics for your area, see what’s out there. They will probably want a GP referral but see whether they would accept you.

Thank you! I love greek yogurt and blueberries so that’s very doable

i do have a few food issues but I’m autistic so I don’t have weight obsession, just very linear diet choices 😬

Look at Mediterranean diet recipes. Why do you think you need low carb? Focus on nutrition with a focus on whole foods over processed - not restriction.
