Hi there, I did Atkins years ago and lost a shed load, fast forward 20 years and I am getting married in 3 months and gave birth about 6 months ago. I have already lost about 2 stone and need to lose 2 stone - eek. So I am up for ramping it up.

I was eating carbs until a week ago.

Typically I will eat on my new plan:

Breakfast at 8am - Scrambled eggs cooked in lots of olive oil, spinach, smashed avo, roasted toms, herbs, some saukeraut perhaps. I also make chilli jam so have a very small amount on the side. Sometimes add nuts/seeds if I remember. Plus coffee with full fat milk. Also some bone broth.

Lunch - protein bar or shake - lots of green tea and water

Dinner 5pm - fish or steak or roast chicken with veg - today asparagus, chard and a sweet corn cob, cooked in lots of olive oil. Again add nuts/seeds if I remember.

So I fast from 5pm - 8-am - so about 15 hours.

I have cut out any key carbs - rice, pasta, noodles, potatoes, bread, anything sweet (apart from
Protein bars/shakes) - but do I have to cut lentils, beans, berries, other fruits etc as well? Or maybe just for a couple of weeks?

Don't drink loads but have been having vodka soda if I do.

In terms of exercise, I do a 30 mins HIIT class each day and 5-10 mins on rowing machine after, I go out for at least two long walks each week, I go swimming 1-2 times a week and I do yoga twice a week.

If there is more I can do or any suggestions to optimise, please I am all ears!

Ps really trying to flatten stomach after baby, all weight has gone there x

Calm down with the olive oil,it’s beneficial but still high in calories,protein/bars shakes tend to be full of sugar.

nuts Are high in calories too,I think a portion is something like 6 almonds.try Greek yogurt with berries instead of bars/shakes
