Maintaining

So, I'm 4wks into my low carbing and have lost 11lbs. I'm quite happy with that tbh! I'm around 12st now.

This week I maintained. I know I haven't deviated, and have remained active this week. Is my body playing tricks on me?

I could cut the double cream back slightly (I tend to have a S/F jelly with double cream after dinner most evenings) but everything else is meat, cheese and greens.

Anyone else had this? How did you get around it or should I wait it out and see what appears next week...

I'd wait another week or so. Weight loss often stalls/fluctuates. Bodies are complicated things and weight loss often isint linear.

I’ve been low carbing since January and have lost two stone, 13st 13lbs and today 11st 12lbs

I have stalled a couple of times now, lasting around 2 weeks at a time, then suddenly it hits and I drop weight again.

@TinySongstress : weeks 4 & 5 of a Low Carb Way of Eating are notorious for stalling. Keep going and things should start moving again.

On the MN HFLC Boot Camp which lasts 10 weeks (we're currently coming to the end of Week 1 of a new one for "Exiting Lockdown"), we're always warned of that.

After the initial "whoosh" from your glycogen releasing water as you become ketogenically adapted, your body then takes stock and then realises that fat really is your fuel going forward and will start releasing it again. That's how I visualise it anyway Wink

Make sure you're drinking plenty of water to help the process.
