Inedible dark chocolate - what can I do with it?!

I have a bar of 95% dark chocolate but it’s too dark for me to enjoy. Can anyone suggest what I can make with it? I was thinking maybe fat bombs as I have coconut oil and peanut butter, but I also have some extra thick double cream that needs using - any ideas??

There may be a recipe for mousse using those ingredients.

If you pop on to the low carb bootcamp sweets and puddings thread there might be something. Otherwise @Stuntnun has a brilliant chocolate mousse recipe that would probably work well. I’m not sure if it’s linked anywhere but if you ask on the current bootcamp thread (Final weigh in March 2021) I’m sure someone will have it handy.

Add it to chilli
Make a ganache or truffles by melting it and stirring as much cream in as it will take.

Melt it and use as a chocolate fondue by adding cream, or just dipping strawberries in.

It would work well in brownies, but I don't know if you're looking for something low carb?

I tried making chocolate mousse (egg white and melted chocolate) with 100% dark chocolate once, and it still wasn't edible. But if you mixed it with some 70%, I would expect it to be good!

Yes my guess is you would need to ‘dilute’ it with something rich/sweet to make it more palatable. So fat bombs with peanut butter and oil would work, as would fondue/ganache with cream, or the mousse (But in that case I would add a small proportion of 60-70% chocolate or maybe some rose water or vanilla essence).

Otherwise the suggestion to add it to chillis and other savoury dishes is a good one.

I'd melt it and then stir into full fat Greek yoghurt, possibly with a bit of vanilla bean paste
