How to kick the habit of sugar and milk in coffee?

Hi All, I've started following the low carb way of eating- I've managed a week without the obvious carbs- bread, pasta sugary treats etc. I simply cannot get my head around black coffee or even worse black sugar free coffee- and I love my coffee! Has anybody got any tips for making this a little less painful please?

Double cream in your coffee.

Lidl have got a range of skinny foods in at the moment. They do zero carb coffee syrups. They taste amazing

You will honestly get used to black coffee.

I did and I just cannot drink it with milk and sugar now.

I bought a 2nd hand electric grinder and grind my beans to make fresh coffee every time.

I dont think I could have instant black coffee, and I hope I dont sound snobby at all, but you can really taste and smell the aroma with fresh and instant coffee just doesn't cut it. I'd rather go without.

Black, sugarless tea on the other hand. Bleurgh. Couldn't stomach it.

I think I've done it! The sugar part at leastSmile I put sugar in my coffee the other morning and it tasted vile- it's amazing how your sense of taste changes. I also seem to have gone off 'normal' tea & I'm drinking much more herbal teas now. Working now on cutting down the milk in my coffee....

I think giving up the milk is harder than the sugar, tbh!

Whoever recommended almond or coconuts Milk as they’re ‘virtually no carbs’ - please read the label as a lot of coffee shops almond mills have as much as 9g of carbs per glass!

Regarding sugar, try using honey for a bit, then use less and less and eventually stop.

For milkiness, just add a dollop of any cream (I like pouring one). Cream is a lot less carby

I have coffee with plenty of unsweeted Almond milk then a small splash of double cream. Yum.
