Will I lose weigh? Trying to lose as have high blood sugar and getting conflicting information from nurses.

My intention is to lower carb intake (nurse said under 150g a day but I believe that's quite a lot and I can easily manage on less) not omit them altogether. Many thanks.

Low carb/high fat. Emphasis on high.

Check out the bootcamp threads to understand more. There is one running right now.

@Ninkanink thank you, I will. I'm guessing it's OK to go over calorie output then - this was my belief when listening to something on YouTube (Briffa or one of the others) but when an NHS nurse is saying something totally different it's confusing.

You don't need to bother about calories! Just make sure you keep your carbs low and the fats high.

150g carbs per day is a lot! If you're looking to lose weight by low carbing, you'd be much better trying to keep it at 50g or under. Just make sure you're getting most of your carbs from vegetables and salad.

Thanks @BIWI - it is a lot. It's milk and yoghurt that pushes me up, but I really don't need 150.

20g or under of carbs is better, 50g is more of a maintenance amount. You should avoid milk and use double cream instead, full fat natural yougurt is fine, just check there are not added sugars, real or artificial.
