My husband and I start today!

I’ve done a big food shop and got all the recommended foods in but I just can’t get my head around the idea that I will lose weight if I eat fatty foods!

Do I HAVE to eat fatty foods? For example should I really eat full fat plain Greek yoghurt rather than low fat? Should I eat the fat on the bacon rather than just bacon medallion? Should I really be putting cream in my coffee? What nuts are good? (There seems to be different suggestions) can I eat loads of cheese? can I eat fruit? (I read somewhere that berries are the best but then also read that berries are the worst) And what’s all this macro business?!

I’m not really a big eater but just can’t shift the last 12 pound hence why I’m trying this. I’ve always subscribed to a low calorie diet/fasting when trying to lose weight but this has totally stalled.

Should I be trying to eat more OR eating limited amounts but fatty food?

I’m really nervous that this time next week I will have put on a million pounds!

(Sorry of all my question have been answered elsewhere)

You are meant to choose the fattier cuts of meat but no I wouldn’t shovel cream in. I see it more as not worrying about fat rather than actively stuffing my face with it. So yes eat the fatty bacon but don’t force it down. Choose full fat dairy but less of it as it’s filling. Fry in animal fat and use butter, doesn’t mean you have to eat butter from the pack altho I happen to like it
Some people find cheese and dairy stalls them as dairy may encourage insulin release.
Fruit is a no no really - small amounts of berries could work as they are low sugar but not daily.
Nuts are best kept to an absolute minimum at the start
You’ll soon find that if you choose full fat you’ll eat less as you’ll be so full.
