Hey mums netters, I've been trying to lose my baby weight for a while now but just haven't stuck to anything. I want to give LCHF a proper go, I plan to have 120g fat, (68%) 50g carb (12%) and 80g protein (20%) with around 1600kcal a day... anyone else just starting out want to join me?

I'm currently 5'3 and around 180lb and hate the way I look, I have no energy and don't feel confident at all... hopefully with LCHF and light walking with DS in pram every day I can start to shift some of this weight :)

Thanks!

Kettlebells is my thing. I bought a set of weights off Amazon and have a collection of DVD workouts. I enjoy it, it's effective and I can do it home so it's easy to fit around other stuff.

Take away is doable, you just have to find the right thing. My favourite is Mongolian crispy lamb from the chinese, I usually stir fry a few greens to go with it. Tandoori meat with a vegetable side dish (sag paneer, cauliflower bhaji etc) is good too.

Can you recommend a good all round workout video, anything cardio based? Working out at home would be ideal with DS being 5 months old haha...

Ah I know, I just have to find the will power to resist chapattis and paratha... I shouldn't even be mentioning those words

Hi all, mind if i join? I have been doing bootcamp and really get on with low carb but i need to do it all the time as once i fall off the wagon it takes me ages to get back on. I love low carbing and am convinced by the science i just need to stick to it so i dont keep messing about gaining and losing the same stone.

I dont weigh myself but today i am (just) in a pair of jeans i havent worn since i first met my husband 8 years ago!!

Waves to prof - we were on the 16st and low carbing thread ( a million name changes ago) - hope your DH is ok. I have taken up kettlebells and they have given me my waist back. Well done for keeping it up with all the stress you must have been under.

I am off on holiday in 4 days and should have started sooner - big sigh but will be wearing a bikini top for the first time ever with board shorts.
Planning on keeping the carbs to a minimum but no promises on the wine, will get straight back on it when i get home.

Toblerone - smoked salmon with scrambled eggs would be ideal, just make sure you add a giant knob of butter to it.

I have def found its easier to stickto the diet when i batch cook and have a fridge stocked with low carb goodies only. Good luck everyone

Nice to see you Princess! Glad the kettlebells are working out for you (so to speak!)

Everything's more or less back to normal here with dh. Can't remember where we were up to by the end of the last thread but his surgery went well. Radiotherapy finished 6 weeks ago and he's more or less back to normal. Been back at work for a few weeks now.

Have a great holiday Smile
