Started low carb two weeks ago today and have lost a total of.......2lbs.

Why? I've done low carb before and lost much more than that in the first two weeks.

I am eating scrambled eggs for breakfast, tuna or egg mayo for lunch and some kind of meat plus it's skin/fat with dark green veg for dinner. Lots of water.

I know from past experience I can't eat cheese, cream or bacon or I stall so I haven't touched any.

I'm 5 stone overweight so I really thought I would have lost more? I am feeling so demoralised.

Do you feel/look like you have lost weight edie?

Edieandkoala · 25/08/2014 16:16

No! I really don't. I measured hips, thighs, waist when I started, I'm still the same.mi am absolutely confused as to why. I haven't touched more than 15-20 carbs a day in two weeks, so my body must be burning fat for me to exist!

As I mentioned, it doesn't always come off as quick the second time. Two pounds is perfectly normal.

I think you need to eat more fat. Have you heard of fat bombs? They are (apparently) a good way to get extra fat into your diet. I find it quite hard to get enough fat into my meals, I expect that's what 40 years of low fat conditioning does to you! I can easily cut the carbs and eat unprocessed meat but I struggle to make fat the focus. Have you done one of the low carb bootcamps on here? Or read through some of the threads? There is a wealth of knowledge there.

How much fat is in your scrambled eggs? Do you just have tuna mayo or tuna mayo and a lovely oily salad? What fat is on your green veg? How do you cook your meat?

Ummm...how is that snickers/mars bar fat bomb any better than a proper snickers/mars bar? Confused

apart from that...YUMMY!! Im baking tomorrow...
