Starting 21 day paleo cleanse tomorrow

Does anyone want to join me? I have been paleo on and off for years and recently keep falling off the wagon. I have decided 21days strict paleo to get me back on track is the way to go. I have a wedding to go to in 20 days and a holiday soon after. Must do this!

The rules for me are only paleo foods but also no nuts (can't control them). I am going no fruit too just for the 21 days. Masses of veg though!

How are you doing Wiifit? All packed and ready to go? :)

Wiifitmama · 04/09/2014 21:01

Packing tomorrow. In full on nausea panic right now Shock. I get like this every time. Wish I knew how to prevent it. I even posted about it on chat tonight but no replies yet.

How are things going with you?

Oh no! I didn't see your post. (I'm not that familiar around the boards, despite the years on here).
The only way I know to relax when anxious is by using breathing techniques.
If I'm going anywhere I sit down and make a comprehensive list (in triplicate!) of things to pack, to do, to remember and it's glued to me as I actually pack.

I have lost some weight by the old scales but I treated myself to a new digital one, which is pure evil (almost 5kg difference)! I was a bit upset because I realised I'd never made target the first time-I thought I had changed body shape- and I am a lot heavier than I thouhgt. Sad Still cothes fitted better this morning and dh thoght I bottom looked perkier and my legs and waist more defined. :)

Have a fabulous holiday! Enjoy every second, you earned it with all the hard work.

Wiifitmama · 04/09/2014 22:31

Oh no! That's evil about the scales. New scales should result in a loss not a gain. But the reality is that that you don't actually weigh more. No one else can see the number on the scale. Definitely go by the way you feel on clothes and the fact your dh is noticing is great! Keep it up!

I think I lost about 3kg in total. Difficult to tell (hence new scales) on the old ones, which don't zero very well. New scales tells me I lost 0.3kg from yesterday afternoon and I lost 1/2" off the waist, 3/4" off the hips and 1/4" off the legs. :)

Happy holiday!

I am back! Had a wonderful time but ate non stop! I did not stick to Paleo. Mostly avoided grains but did eat lots of dairy and sugar. I know I was bloating up as none of my skinny jeans fit by the end of the week. Braved the scales this morning and have put on 7.5 pounds. Soooooo glad I lost that weight before going or I would have bee truly fat with this on top! so, back on another 21'days starting today. Not so much to lose this time so not feeling as daunted. I have a weekend away ahead with dh for his birthday at the end of October to Brussels so something to aim for!

Yeah, welcome back. :) I'm so pleased you had a lovely time.

7.5 lbs, a lot of it might well be just water retention from all the sugar. I'll be here to cheer you on.
I have only 1kg to target number 1 and the outfit I wanted to wear next weekend fits and hangs really well. However, I want to see if I can lose the extra 5kg the new scales show and fit in some fashionable old clothes. I have some stunning expensive cigarette line trousers and some gorgeous pencil skirts, which, with the shape TA's exercises are giving me, I might just pull off not looking muttonish.

Wiifitmama · 17/09/2014 19:34

Well done on getting so close to target and fitting the clothes so well! It's the best feeling to try something on and know you look good!

I am down 2.5 pounds already so a lot of it was clearly bloat. Which makes me only 5 pounds up from before holiday. Totally worth it!! I am quite determined to lose it within the next two weeks.

Yes, it feels good to be back in the clothes I love. Three days to go to my event...I'm hoping to have reached target by Sat morning (and to have even more defined abs and gluts).

Five pounds with your determination would be gone before the two weeks are up! :)

Wiifitmama · 19/09/2014 09:43

I am another two pounds down this morning so 4.5 since Sunday. Very happy but realise it must have been mostly bloat! Only 3 pounds to go to get back to where I was pre holiday.

How are you with one day to go?

FavadiCacao · 19/09/2014 18:00

That is really good. The 3lbs will go in no time at all.:) Would it put at your final goal?

I have reached target 1, yippee -finally! Strangely my clothes fit differently from before. Most of my jeans and trousers are too big on the waist but tighter on the hips and legs, the look OK but not ideal, thank goodness for skirts. Last night I tried my outfit again and it looked better with no control under dress than with, so I'm really chuffed.
My body shape is now the same as to my pre massive weight gain, with still some weight to go (new scales were right after all). I can't but wonder whether the change is due to the different exercises or the different diet- just curious, as I much prefer this new/old hourglass shape.
