How important is it that our carbs are just "good carbs"? (So vegetables basically) The maximum I allow myself a day is 40g but I usually end up <35g. But if I chose to eat those 40g worth of carbs from a slice of cake or a small sandwich, and then stick to eggs/meat the rest of the day, would this completely hinder weight loss? I know for a lot of people carbs/sugar is like an addiction, so they have to cut it out completely or they will find themselves binging. I never was a big carb-eater to begin with. My carbs would all come from fruits, vegetables, porridge, sometimes some wholewheat bread or brown rice, but I would only have one "cheat" meal every 1-2 weeks. The reason I started LC was because I was fed up of being starving on my low fat diet. I know high fat and high carb is the worst combo. So if I were to eat a slice of cake one day I would stick to lean meats for the rest of the day and make omelettes with just 2-3 whole eggs and then egg whites. So does the source matter? does it matter if the carb grams come from spinach or come from pasta? I just need this to be something I can maintain for the rest of my life and I honestly can't see myself never having a slice of cake and a cappuccino again or a nice hearty bowl of soup or a baked potato!
