Morning all. Hope we're all safe and not blown or washed away by this horrible weather!

Spreadsheet as per.

I hope that you all got through week 3 reasonably well. Brace yourselves, though, for the fact that week 4 can be challenging too (soz)

Shopping day today and I'm looking for something different to cook this evening.

What are your plans for the week?

1lb on for me this week. I stayed on strict bootcamp rather than moving to bootcamp lite so it wasmt
down to that, but not too much of a shock as I’d done better than expected the first 2 weeks. Planning pizza tonight with a base made from turkey mince and have moved onto bootcamp lite today with FFGY, cream, berries and a few walnuts for breakfast.

Castlerigg · 26/10/2026 10:02

I had an attack of the Fuck-its at the weekend, and the scales have responded accordingly. Sigh. Back on it today.

BIWI · 26/10/2026 10:17

It's tough, isn't it? I see people eating stuff and just wish I could do the same - but then I know it doesn't help me! (Not just weight-wise, but also from an IBS POV)

Also 1lb on for me, but not a surprise. Monday reset!

venusandmars · 26/10/2026 11:24

STS

Was lower before the weekend but 3 days of being stuck inside has done me no favours. Food choices were not bad but there was a lot of grazing in the fridge to deal with my bored mind and mouth.

DesdamonasHandkerchief · 26/10/2026 11:27

I’ve been staying with family so low carb has gone out the window somewhat. Consequently 1.5lb regained. Hopefully back on it from when I get home on Wednesday.

Jumperorcardi · 26/10/2026 14:22

Thanks for the thread, I’m 0.5 lbs down but know this week will be challenging with 3 dinners at friend’s homes. Will just have to do my best. Hope everyone has a good week

BIWI · 26/10/2026 14:24

Have decided on steak tonight, with salad and celeriac chips. DS2 isn't here, so it made the decision to splurge on steak easier!

I put the lowest weight I recorded last week as best for morale. Am going through be super strict this week

Goodiewhemper · 27/10/2026 06:37

I am delighted to have had a 400g loss this week which has put me just under 79kg. I have had a stinker of a cold the past few days and my appetite was affected which has probably helped.

I made my low carb bread yesterday and a pot of soup (broccoli, cauliflower, leek, courgette and celery with a spoon of sour cream and dill 😋) for breakfast and lunches this week. @BIWII made a variation of your chanterelle pie using a low carb tortilla instead of the pie crust, normal mushrooms and a mix of sour cream and cottage cheese instead of the cream. It was delicious and I had a piece for lunch yesterday and I have a piece left aside for my lunch today. My husband devoured the rest. I plan to make the proper recipe in the next week or two when I have all the ingredients in.

I have some chicken cacciatore in the freezer for dinner tonight which I will have with cauliflower rice.

I hope everyone has a great day.

StuntNun · 27/10/2026 10:10

I’ve been staying with relatives for a few days and, while they tried with low carb, I ended up having a few things I wouldn’t normally eat. I’ll have to remember to take more supplies with me next time I visit.

CrawlingFromShitshowToAfterglow · 27/10/2026 16:54

Oh no. I missed this. I really wanted to join and didn't realise you were running another one. I've had many very carb heavy weeks lately and really want to make the change as I can feel it affecting my health.

staytoxic · 27/10/2026 18:48

I’ve not shifted a single pound this week! No idea why, I’ve stayed on strict BC not lite. I’ll just KOKO I guess! I’m still feeling less bloated so it’s definitely doing me good, I just wish the scales would show it a bit too

BIWI · 27/10/2026 19:59

Sorry to hear that @staytoxic - I'm afraid it's just the vagaries of week 4! If you've been sticking to the rules, all should be fine going on from here.

The scales do lie, though! If you're feeling less bloated, then that's a really good sign. Have you tried on any of your clothes that up to now have been a bit tight? How your clothes fit you can actually be a much better sign of progress than what the scales say.

Had roasted lamb shoulder with celeriac mash tonight, very filling. I realised I did less exercise than normal last week so that might have contributed to my weight gain. Back to my normal exercise this week so
hopefully that will
shift the scales down

BoredtoRushed · 27/10/2026 22:32

Maintained this week. I’d been snacking into the evening on roasted nuts in yoghurt so I need to cut that out.

staytoxic · 28/10/2026 08:44

Hi @BIWI yes I do think my jeans are fitting more comfortably due to the reduced belly bloat. My arms are getting a bit more toned as well (sadly not my bat wings 😭) so there’s definitely changes happening. I think if the scales shifted it would be such a psychological boost and it’s so tempting to just give in to temptations! But I won’t, because that’s what got me here in the first place.

I'm away for the weekend so it’s going to be a little trickier to stay on strict BC but I’m absolutely going to do my very best!

BIWI · 28/10/2026 08:54

@BoredtoRushed maintaining in week 4 is great!

I'm away too @staytoxic, for the next 3 days, and I know it's going to be tough. Just try your best - and also enjoy yourself Flowers

OP posts:
BoredtoRushed · 28/10/2026 10:33

That’s very encouraging @BIWI.
Like @staytoxic I’ve also noticed less belly bloat, which is great.

KellyOnAHeli · 28/10/2026 11:37

Scales are stubbornly staying where they are but I am keeping on keeping on. Yogurt, berries and walnuts for breakfast. Chicken wings for lunch. Coq au vin for dinner (I figure 8 hours in the slow cooker means the wine will be insignificant.)

SprinkleofRain · 28/10/2026 22:20

Sorry, lost you all at the weekend. STS this week for me. Weirdly I have weighed every day and been EXACTLY the same to 0.1lb for 7 days in a row, it’s as if the scales have broken.

I have struggled a bit this last week and had a few slippages, nothing too major (haven’t binged the breadbin or similar) but the odd oatcake or handful of peanuts has slipped in, it is hard at this stage. Oh and a tiny bit of birthday cake but that is the only sweet thing apart from berries. I do feel slimmer and have more energy which is good. I am struggling to eat enough fat and protein, it all feels a bit rich especially for the evening main meal (I’m OK with FFGY, cream and berries/seeds for breakfast and a salad/protein/dressing lunch).

Been snacking on cheese too much too and so have cut that back a bit. If I get the late evening munchies I am having a small glass of unsweetened kefir with a tiny bit of salt and garam masala, lassi style which is easy on the stomach but curbs the food cravings. Also using the soda stream for fizzy water which helps. And switching out more tea with milk for herbal. I just forget and make it at work, it’s so routine. I took a bunch of fresh mint in with me this week and sat it on top of my tea caddy to stop me getting to the real tea.

Goodiewhemper · 29/10/2026 06:03

I put on a pair of pants yesterday which I hadn't worn in a while as they were a bit of the tight side and they are fitting perfectly again so celebrating that win. Yesterday I had my usual green shake and almond bread for breakfast and soup with a boiled egg and some FFGY for lunch. I had the Irish classic of bacon and buttered cabbage last night and it was delicious. The rest of the family had mashed potatoes which I prepared but resisted (apart from tasting to check the seasoning).

I find this BC, by cutting out my nightly cup of regular tea, I am less tempted by snacks and that has made a huge difference. I have found a mint choc herbal witn rooibos which is very satisfying and I sometimes add a small piece of the M&S 85% mint choc which hits the spot.

I need to raid the freezer for something for dinner this evening and will report back later.
Have a great day everyone.
This is the tea. I don't know if it is available in the UK but the Yogi Choco is also lovely after dinner.

SprinkleofRain · 29/10/2026 10:47

At last 0.4lb off today, the scales aren't broken after all.

SemmaLina · 29/10/2026 11:51
