Hive mind- post your Greek yogurt tubs, front and back, so we all know what they look like and their carb contents! Simple.

We have this one from Morrisons:
groceries.morrisons.com/products/morrisons-the-best-greek-yogurt-10-fat-406995011?gclid=CjwKCAiArY2fBhB9EiwAWqHK6gSvHk7VTisTWcRIK7Ru5vcv_wpbQjImPXZ-1prS1mRPMOpM2D87RxoC630QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

it is delicious.
4.3 carbs
10 fat

I am totally new to low carbs. Is that too high?

@LampLamp it's fine. There are some brands that are a little lower in carbs but unless you're eating a large portion daily I wouldn't worry, and even then wouldn't look to change unless you felt weight loss was slowing (if that's your aim).

I don't get to Morrisons often but remember theirs being particularly nice; think they might have changed the packaging since I last saw it.

Thanks Rayna.
I am probably eating 125gm a day.

The packaging used to be black.

My total favourite is tesco plant chef greek style at ZERO carbs but as a low carb newbie unsure if soya is fine?

I'm not sure about soya but one of the recommendations on this WoE is to "eat clean", ie without unnecessary additives.

It's not too bad but it does include thickener and more importantly it's only 3% fat, which is not really enough on this WoE

INGREDIENTS: Water, Soya Bean (12%), Thickener (Pectin), Monocalcium Phosphate, Iodine, Vitamin D, Bacterial Culture, Vitamin B12.

@summaluvin posted this recipe thehappyfoodie.co.uk/recipes/pistachio-and-yoghurt-chicken-curry/
On a using up Greek yoghurt thread.
How carby is it?

Rayna37 · 21/02/2023 15:33

@Rollerbird that looks a good curry recipe, nothing incompatible with bootcamp. Pistachios are on the carby side for nuts but 100g across 4 portions is fine. There are lots of creamy curry recipes that use yogurt, and sometimes I swap cream for yogurt if that's all I have in for my curry.

Kri-Kri Greek yogurt, a great option in Waitrose. 10g fat, 3.7g carbs.

Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Authentic Greek Yogurt. 10% fat but at 4.1g of carbs I mainly avoid as most others are under 4g!

It looks like this yoghurt is now 15% fat! Change of recipe?

HoliOrangeBlossom · 21/05/2023 19:10

Ok am new to this low carbing... why are there carbs in YOGURT?!

prettybird · 22/06/2023 12:53

@HoliOrangeBlossom - dairy still has some carbs (except for butter, which only has a trace amount). It reduces as the amount of fat increases - which is why we prefer higher fat yoghurts.
