Hi there, I am on day 2 of low carbinh but just wondered if I could tell you what Ive had and see what you think...

Yesterday
Breakfast 2 boiled eggs
1 coffee with cream

Lunch: tuna mayo almonds and peperami

Dinner:
Red and yellow pepper, tuna steak, some grated cheddar, tomato, green leaves and sour cream.

Loads of water.

Today:

Breakfast: bowl of Greek yoghurt with cream and 4 raspberries

Lunch: 2x tomatoes, 3 slices salami, 3 slices leerdammer low fat, some prawns.

Dinner: just about to have roast chicken with cauliflower rice, green beans, mayonnaise and avocado

Is this looking okay?

The only thing I'd pick you up on is the low fat Leerdammer. Low carbing is a high fat way of eating.

Thanks.
They only had low fat in Tesco at lunch time and it said >.1g carbs but where possible I have high fat.
I’m getting conflicting advice on cheese, nuts and cream so a bit confused. Some say it’s fine some say be sparing. It’s tricky.

First 2 weeks of Low Carb Boot Camp you're supposed to avoid nuts (unless you're veggie) and the concern with cream and cheese is that some people find that dairy stalls them (butter is ok though).

As this WOE (Way of Eating) is about not depriving yourself, I'd continue with the cheese and cream and then review if you find that you're stalling.

And remember: Water. Water. Water Smile

Think of it as flushing the fat out! Grin But more seriously, it also protects your kidneys.

If you're joining Bootcamp have you read the rules? No nuts in the first two weeks.

You can have cheese and cream, but the reason advice can be inconsistent is that some people find that dairy causes their weight loss to stall. If you don't have this problem (which you might not know about until you try!) then you don't need to worry too much about how much you have - although be sensible - it's not about plugging cream by the gallon and living only on cheese!

@BIWI and @prettybird Thank you both so much.

I'm finding these threads so helpful and though I haven't lost weight yet. After 6 days I am feeling lighter and my clothes aren't as tight.

Off to guzzle more water now.
