Last time i had a BPC for breakfast (7am), fab breakfast, easy and surprisingly yummy. I really missed them when i fell off the wagon.

I then plan on having breakfast number two before i head out of door (10am) this will be a green smoothie (ninja nutri for xmas) no fruit except a whole avocado and i was thinking of bumping fat content up by adding either coconut cream or coconut oil (1 tbsp)

Then after first two weeks will prob skip lunch ( never usually bother or poss greek yog, savoury ricotta muffin - if hungry)

Dinner at 5.30 ( we eat early here). Will have nice fatty meat, low carb veg coated in butter and either swede, cauli rice etc. Not really a pudding person.

Is that too much fat? Too little protein? Trying to avoid dairy or at least limit it to 1 meal a day.

I did well on the summer bootcamp but had a half hearted attempt before xmas and didnt really see any results.

Years of failing at slimming world so still struggling to see fat as my dieting friend!

That sounds fine.

Have you done any reading about low carbing, and about why fat is not the villain? It's really worth it.

Bullet proof coffee. Basically 1 cup of filter coffee mixed with 25g of unsalted butter and 1 tbsp of coconut oil. Whizz up with a stick blender -makes a lovely frothy coffee. I resisted for a long time but now love them.

They fill me up. Now i cant abide much milk in my coffee as it ruins the flavour.

If in doubt - put it through MFP to calculate % of fat.
It looks fine to me.

Yep done a bit - john biffa, diet doc and followed the links on the spreadsheet, its just so dammed ingrained!

Had a sw devotee step mother (over weight then and now) and didnt even realised that there were high fat versions of some foods, i genuinely though salad cream only came in a low fat version! Then battled my weight through mid twenties and early thirties with SW myself and put on 5 stone in that time! Apparently you cant actually eat massive bowls of pasta and loose weight!!!

Thanks

I know

When I very first started low carbing, and was tucking into bacon and eggs for breakfast, my DH said to me "you're never going to weight eating like that!"

It was a real leap of faith, and I have to say that I really wasn't looking forward to getting on the scales, but when I did, and I had lost weight, I realised that it was nothing short of miraculous!

You need to relax, trust us all, and embrace the fat! Grin Flowers

I know, i know. I did your very excellent bootcamp in the summer and lost 1st 7lbs in the 10 weeks by staying on strict bootcamp. I know it works, i know its easy and i know i like it. I never stick to diets but i didnt cheat until week 9.5, this was unheard of, for me.

When i was pg and had gestational diabetes i found a great diabetes forum that discussed LCHF and when i suggested to the diabetes nurse and dietician that perhaps reducing my carbs rather than upping them (and reducing fat) might be a better strategy than putting me on ever increasing doses of insulin i was told in no uncertain terms that i was not to do that.My weight gain had been minimal until i went on insulin and in the last few of months i put on 3 stone!

My levels returned to normal after i have my DS but were still upper end. On bootcamp they were perfect and stayed that way. Before and over xmas they were creeping up again (even though i still mostly avoided bread and rice etc) but are back down now i am almost properly doing bootcamp, in prep for monday.

There seems to be lots more positive coverage about it now which helps but most people i discussed the diet with think i am on a route to weight gain and heart disease! I dont discuss it with anyone now - i have you guys instead. Hopefully when i am swishing about in my size 10s they will see the light (never been a size 10 in my life! but i feel its actually achievable now).

This is def a WOE and a way of life rather than a diet, just need to keep the faith. A MASSIVE THANKYOU BIWI and everyone connected to the bootcamp threads x

I find it astonishing that people with diabetes are still being given that advice!

Well done to you, and here's to swishing! Flowers
