Struggling with breakfast ideas

I'm starting bootcamp early (sometime in this coming week once I get round to doing a food shop) so I'm currently sitting and writing a list of every possible food combination I can make for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I've got loads of ideas for lunch and dinner but I'm totally stuck for breakfast. The last BC I did, I ate eggs quite often but I've totally gone off them. I know some people just eat their dinner leftovers from the day before but I don't think I can stomach it in the morning.

Everything I think of involves eggs! Please help Shock

Felix...Here is a new spreadsheet I've been working on for the January BC.

It has everything from the recipe thread divided into meals so it is easier to plan. Then you can search the recipe thread for a particular thing rather than having to read it all.

I'm working my way through the list and adding carb counts as I go so it is very much a work in progress.

Last time I did this, I never ate breakfast prior so eating anything was a bit weird at first, I would have a coffee with cream early and then mid morning eat my breakfast, which would quite often be left overs.
What about Greek yoghurt (can add some berries when on light)
Sausage or bacon
I found this site and alldayidreamaboutfood.com/ good for inspiration, some times had to adapt recipes a bit.
Are you having eggs on their own or do you add in other flavours?

SayraT That is banging! Thanks.

Sayra that is incredibly clever, thank you Smile

Thanks for the replies. I've just done my shopping delivery for Monday and have ordered natural yoghurt and also smoked salmon and avocados for breakfast. I've also got a nutribullet so was thinking of doing green smoothies too. Possibly spinach, avocado, frozen cucumber and almond milk. Exciting that I can add berries at some point Grin

I used to eat eggs quite often but the thought of them makes me feel ill at the moment for some reason. Not sure if i had egg overload which has put me off!

I dont eat eggs and cant face anything hot for breakfast.

Last bootcamp i had BPC for breakfast (7am). I intend to have green smoothies with avocado, spinach, broccoli etc, i will prob have that as a second breakfast a bit later (10 am),not sure whether a tsp of coconut oil would be fat overload or not. I have managed to phase out the fruit.

I did used to make a ricotta savoury muffin with cheese and flavourings such as chorizo, pancetta. They were fab and could be zapped in the microwave from frozen in 30 secs or so - great for lunch too -loads of fat.

Greek yoghurt with coconut cream (and five raspberries) was nice in the summer for a quick breakfast.

I do wish i ate eggs it would be so much easier.

Mrsstevejones
Your muffin sounds good, please could I have the recipe?

They are amazing and can be flavoured different ways.

1 tub of full fat ricotta - 250g i think, whatever size sainsburys do.
1/2 cup of parmesan shavings
1/2 cup of cheddar or mozzarella
2 large eggs
salt and pepper

Flavourings -cook and cool, prior to adding
Shallot, chorizo and pre cooked chicken
Bacon lardons, defrosted squeezed spinach and tomatoes
Prawn and curry powder and broccoli ( steam first) - use more mozzarella less strong cheese
Mexican spicy cheese, broccoli and leek

Mix ricotta, with salt and pepper and eggs. Add cheese and pre cooked and cooled flavourings. Spoon mixture into fairy cake tin and bake in oven at 180 degrees for 20 ish mins. They should be slightly golden on top.

Leave to cool in tin for 5 mins and loosen from edges with a knife. Flip out onto a cooling rack. They can be frozen and microwave in 1-2 mins.

Yum, they sound great Mrsstevejones I think I will give them a go.

Mrsstevejones
Thanks Flowers

I am all over those muffins - thanks

Also, I am a big fan of homemade pesto mixed with a mashed avocado and spread on smoked salmon, or thinly sliced ham and topped with rocket and tomato, they can be rolled up and eaten wrap style!
