my 3yr old boy has had such a tough yr with very uncontrolled epilepsy and behavioural issues that come along with epilepsy and side effects from medication, major obsessional behaviour, very violent sometimes and stress is a big trigger for his seizures!!
his dad has barely been around since he was born as he is in the raf in lincoln and were near liverpool so he saw him at weekends we split when he was 5mths and he had him on his own when he cud b bothered til he was 9mths when i stoped him havin him on his own but he got told he cud see my son whenever he wanted 2 as twice harvey got hurt bcoz of his dads neglect(not changing his nappy all day giving him a forskin infection, and makin him smack his face on the dash bord makin it bleed coz he didnt strap his car seat in)now after a yr of no contact at his dad has sent me a court letter requesting access so im kinda scared whats going to happen now because im bein told he may get acess with him on his own after a few weeks of gettin to know him even tho my little boy has major behaviour problems now and anxiety is really getting to him makin his seizures worse when i talk bout his dad(and i am so positive about him to my son!!)

talk to a solicitor or someone - explain the reasons WHY unsupervised access is not in your son's best interests until his father has learned how to care for his additional needs.

I don't see how they could find that unreasonable at all.

talk to a solicitor and state you will only allow supervised access due to the issues.

this will all take time to set up, be warned...

but stick to your guns - if he gets supervised then they will assess if he is ok with him or not.

with us there is going to be six sessions over 12 weeks of supervised and thena report written - so it is a long process. which gives me some relief...

my oldest also has special needs.
