help with childcare costs??

i was just wondering if you get any help at all with nursery costs i work 3 mornings a week which is 6 hrs and i need to put my daughter in to nurserty whilst i am there, but im thinking bnursery will be more expensive than my wages , does anyone have any advice xx

you ned to work 16+ hours to get help with child care costs via working tax credit as far as I know

How old is she ? Some Surestart preschools/Children's Centres offer funding for 2 year olds. Childminder may be cheaper than nursery and more flexible.

shes 18 months, and i work 3 ddays but its only 2 hrs a day at the min, im a single parent and on low income, i work for an agency and at the min work at a pre school at the min . so if i do over 16 hrs i will gwt help

Lone parent advisor at the jobcentre. Ask them to do the calculations, but I was told it's up to 80% of costs that get paid.....over 16 hours tho.

right well ill give them a ring and tell them about my position then and hope i can get some more hours , can you do just 16 really dont want to pub ababy in fulltime nat nursery i hate that x
