I've been looking through a copy of our seperatation agreement from my husbands solicitor today and he's only made provisions till the kids are 18... I've asked him about helping for university fees for them and he's refused to pay (ok they probably won't go anyway, but I have to think about this).. saying his obligation ends when they are 18..
just wondered in anyone can help me out.. how have you dealt with this...
have you made any provision for your childrens further education?

the house will be sold when my son is 18 so I will have to buy another 3 bedroom house.. which will probably be imposible then anway!
I don't want him to miss out because I can't afford to fund him through uni...

They do end at 18 unless the child's still in full time education, in which case, they will continue.

Get your solicitor to go through the agreement, you can negotiate this.

Sorry to say it, but there has never been an onus on the parents to pay for the children to go through university. My father refused to pay for me beyond 18, and my mother couldn't pay, so I got myself into debt......
