Tax credit query

Hi all, i just have a couple of questions with regards to tax credits. In January my eldest DS starts school and my youngest DS will remain in fulltime nursery care.
As a result i will be cutting my working hours down from 37.5 per week to 26 hours per week.
First question is, will i get slightly more tax credits due to the less hours i will be working per week?
Secondly, will i still be able to get some help from tax credits with childcare i will be paying for for my eldest DS during school holidays?

Just trying to work out my finances so any advice will be much appreciated. I do intend to call tax credits people to check all this out too.

Thankyou.

You will lose the 30 hour element of tax credits but dependent upon your wage may get more basic tax credits.

You'll also obviously get less childcare help due to the hours drop. You can work out an average though to include holiday care as long as its an approved provider.
