If I may be so dull, v quick tax credits question

I work 16 hours per week and get around £116 combined working tax credit and child tax credit (I think this is the full entitlement for a lone parent with one child working a minimum of 16 hours a week, me, not the baby...) If I was to get another job, how many more hours could I work before it would change the amount I receive? I've got it in my head that it's between 16 and 22 hours??

The way tax credits are calculated are a mystery to me. I brieflt toyed with the idea of cutting my hours at work and found that if I worked 16 hours a week I'd be only £150 worse off than working the full 40, but if I worked 24 hours, I'd be almost £400 worse off! Your best bet is to log on to www.entitledto.com and try various combinations of hours and pay. Best of luck!
