Times when you wish you had a bloke

  1. Bin day (especially if it is raining).

  2. When something wakes you up in the night and you lie there frozen to the spot.

  3. When you hear a screeching noise, look out the window and see your cat trotting along the lawn with either a very big mouse or a rat in her mouth (that was just, and for some reason, I am sat here with my feet up on the shelf under the desk lol).

  4. When you realise you have run out of something essential and it's too late to go back out.

  5. When you can't get the lid of something, although I am quite good at that now.

  6. When you have to remove huge spiders from frightened childrens rooms whilst pretending not to care.

i dont wish i had a bloke much (i do wish h hadn't left). i miss having someone to share laughs with, share the dc's achievements with, someone who knows my entire history.
wouldn't mind a shag either.

Y'see, I have never much liked couplehood anyway, but I honestly don't get all this moping and whining. Being single is great, you don't have anyone to answer to, you can flirt and have sex whenever you want as long as you can get a mate to babysit, you never have to explain for the 100th time that just because you don't hav a penis doesn't mean you are magically better at washing up, cooking, meal-planning or dusting and that you find it dull and demeaning as well... Sure, sometimes an extra pair of hands would be handy, or you want to pop out to the shop because you've run out of milk and it's going to be a right palaver taking the baby with you but this is all stuff that happens to people in couples as well when their partners happen to be out/comtasose/sulking or whatever.

i'm not so bothered about the weelie bins etc and the DIY - that's what dads are for right! lol. but have got used to most of it on my own. I do miss thou (have a beau, but he's not full time) but I do miss, the cuddles, and the talking about my day/being looked after if i'm poorly.

ho hum - oh well!
