Lone parents in senior management - how do you do it?

I am full time working lone parent without local family support. DC is currently doing private nursery 5 days a week and is about to start primary school nursery (with wrap around option) in September. I am considering a senior manager role at a new company but am wondering if this is even feasible.

I would love to hear from anyone in a similar situation? Any experience/advise?

Completely possible but tiring.

my top tips:
Buy help (cleaner, after school childcare).
Negotiate at least 3 days working from home so at least the washing can get done.
Batch cook at the weekend.
And finally, start to cultivate a local support network. You might be suprised by how many women are in a similar position. I proactively found them via school and nursery and made friends with them. We helped each other out loads over the years by doing child swaps in the holidays and helping with sick days, etc.

Nanny..

I would get an after school and holiday nanny. As above, outsource cleaning etc. And make friends with the other school mums - I found lots of others are doing the same thing (I'm not a single mum but we're both working long hours) and we're happy to help each other out eg if the train is delayed

Au pair and cleaner were my solutions. My DD is all grown up now and what she remembers is I did make an effort to do special things with her particularly if I had been very busy at work.
We did a rebrand of the business after that I took her to London and we had afternoon tea and Fortnum and Masons.

Thanks all!

So consensus seems to be cleaner + childcare over and above school wraparound is a must.

I love that your DD remembers the special things @Needanadultgapyear - and your username tells me the "possible but tiring" comment is spot on.
