Any recommendations on where to take two under 5s on a short summer holiday alone? Would prefer not to go abroad (UK based).
was looking at centreparcs but is it too difficult to keep them both occupied?
TIA

How about the Isle of Wight? The ferry makes it feel like you are really going somewhere even though you are just covering a couple miles.
I has miles of beaches and a few attractions to break it up. Ryde is good as beach is vast (but you do have to keep an eagle eye on them as the tide goes way out) there’s a play park plus a little amusement park with rides, plenty of restaurants/cafe/ice cream. There’s even swan paddle boats; there’s a mini golf course at Appley Park and space to run around.

I'd look at various holiday park type places, with park, pool, and other activities on site. Bluestone in Wales might work. IOW as suggested by PP is good too. Possibly also Landal sites?

Where are you? We're going to Ribby Hall in Lancashire.

Like a smaller, cheaper CP and perfect for small kids!

Not sure where you live, but if local, I can’t recommend Weymouth Bay Haven holiday park enough.
loads and loads of activities and an ‘evening show’. Been five times I think now alone with my three since they were toddlers.

Tattershall lakes in Lincoln also incredibly lovely - has a man made beach on site… my preschoolers spent hours there.

id always recommend taking your own home cooked meals/ingredients though on a caravan holiday. Generally the on-site food is fast food or very Wetherspoons quality pub meals

I've travelled abroad with DS since he was 2 alone. Portugal is a short flight and some parts of Spain. Splash world holidays are good.

I've only done Butlins once in Skegness due to covid. It was okay but eating out can add up and it rains you'll have to do indoor things. The swimming on site was great though.

Check out lodge holidays on Hoseasons website. We’ve had some great stays. Cheddar Woods was great as had a hot tub, indoor pool with kids activities, small bar/restaurant on site but also near the caves for exploring.

Bluestone great for that age, as is Butlin’s.

Thanks all! Will have a look around at all the suggestions.

I’m in the south east, so that’s a bit of a trek but wondering if doable on the train out of Euston. Will take a look, thanks

Norfolk Hopton on sea is good if you want a caravan type place. Has a pool and beach on site. New forest is a good shout if you don’t mind driving a bit but everything is nearby. Lots of forests with bike hire, beaches, country parks. Peppa pig world too.

The butlins Bognor Regis for that age is fab (food a bit awful though) you can take the train there and a quick taxi then no car needed

my daughter is 4 and she’s been all over the world and still says with confidence butlins is the best holiday she’s ever had 😬😬

I take Eurostar with the kids alone a lot find it easier than flying

we’ve been to centerparcs in France
