Hi All
Hope you guys are doing great, i am a single parent based in Hounslow, and little over protective for my only child. For context i had divorce last year and all the paperwork are completed, I just want to make sure i am doing everything up to the mark when it comes to my kid's safety, education, and general welfare. So are there any legal consideration i should be aware of.? and what could be that parent face that i should be aware of.?

Any insights or experience shared would be helpful. TIA

Hi there,
It sounds great that you already are taking such proactive steps to ensure your child well-being. Since you’ve already gone through a divorce, it’s important to stay informed about your rights and obligations as a single parent, particularly when it comes to custody and educational decisions.

There might also be future legal concerns, such as creating a will or setting up a trust, you might want to consult with family law solicitors in Hounslow, who specialize in cases like yours. They can provide you with detailed advice tailored to your situation, ensuring that all aspects of your child’s welfare are legally covered. Additionally, if any issues arise related to child support or future adjustments in custody, then you'd be already in contact with reliable legal team so it come fruitful at that time.
It’s always a good idea to be prepared, and having a reliable legal advisor can make a big difference. Best of luck to you and your child.

If I understand then there's not abuse, you just don't want your ex near your kid?

If that's right, then basically you need to grow up a bit, it's not about your feelings it's a out your kids and he has parental rights either in place or he can get them out in place to have court ordered access.

If I've misunderstood then really I feel like you should try starting again and giving some context because it's hard to tell what it is you're worried about and why you split and who has custody etc.

there are many helpful people on this site. is english your first language and are you orginally from the uk?
what you've typed isn't very clear cut, and culturally if not from the uk there may be people able to give you more specific guidelines using your background for reference.
