15 too young to babysit?

Is 15 years old ok to babysit for 2 hours? I'm a lone parent and I haven't got much in the way of babysitters. My son has offered a few times but Iv been reluctant. Although he's very sensible and I trust him. I just don't know if it's too soon

If he was willing I would

How old is the child to be babysat? I think that’s probably completely fine unless they’re close in age and would likely argue. I was babysitting for neighbours kids for whole evenings and putting them to bed by the time I was 14. I know things are different now but 15 year old babysitting for siblings at home for a couple of hours seems completely fine to me.

Of course it’s not too young I plan to leave mine from younger

I think it’s fine unless younger child is close in age and not likely to listen to them.

Thank you. I think I'm gunna give it a go.

We let our 15 year old babysit as she is sensible and we know that in an emergency she could go to our neighbours and we aren’t ever that far away

My 17 yo to dd has been having siblings in the holidays since 14. I work local so any issues I can be home.. Ime it's how families function financially.. Especially one parent families.. Feel no guilt op. Dd gets the benefits of helping.. She is respected and gets the freedom associated with that and of course spends!

Thank you. I live in a cu de sac and are close with neighbours if anything were to happen.
