He just text me '£1000 if you christian my new bed with me, or any bed anywhere'

I wanted to know if he was joking or if he meant it, so sent back 'Seriously ?'

He has text back 'God I thought you'd go mad at me. I mean it though'

I am so fucking mad, I mean what hell sort of person does he think I am ?

Right. I have just text him telling him that I am upping my claim to 25% and that he;d be wise to agree unless he wants me to make it formal and get the whole lot frozen.

If you weren't married then the entitlement is for the children ot have the CSA % of his net pay and I don't think that includes lump sums but worth checking on the CSA web site. Just like if you won the lottery or inherited from your parents he would have no claim.

nutcracker · 16/02/2008 16:30

He doesn't know that though.

Xenia- do you think that he could be legally held to provide a certain amount from this pension?

LIZS · 16/02/2008 16:32

Not for nutty herself, as they weren't married. Is he getting a pension income too , as that would feature in any CSA calculations.

nutcracker · 16/02/2008 16:49

I am so fucking good, even if i do say so myself.

OP posts:
tiredemma · 16/02/2008 16:51

has he agreed?

nutcracker · 16/02/2008 16:53

He has agreed to just under 25%

WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I was very nice about it, told him what I thought was fair and that if he didn't agree he would live to regret it.

I can take my kids on holiday

Backing into a corner? He needs shoving into a bloody hole!

nutcracker · 16/02/2008 16:57

God knows emma. First things first, I am clearing all debts (except barclays, thats too big), but everything else goes, which will make me so much better off weekly.

Then I need to sort out what needs doing in the house and get that done.

I could take them to DLP

MAMAZON · 16/02/2008 16:58

well done Nutty.

do you want to ring my ex and get some money off him now? cos dear lord i have tried

tiredemma · 16/02/2008 16:59

No- dont go there its so expensive- really it is.

You should do something like an AI abroad or somewhere like Haven- great facilities for kids.

tiredemma · 16/02/2008 17:00

Mainland spain- for Portaventura would be good- not as expensive as DLP

expatinscotland · 16/02/2008 17:00

i'd text him back telling him i was up for it, but money first!

then, i'd tell him to hide in the bathroom whilst i got prepared, and whilst he was in there, i'd uncork a bottle of champers - you clap a teatowel over the top and ease the lid out and it's silent - shake the fuck out of it, then let it fly over his bed after he came out.

then i'd leave.

yes, i'd seriously to this, too.

nutcracker · 16/02/2008 17:00

I wish I could, you deserve it too.

OP posts:
nutcracker · 16/02/2008 17:01

If you're thinking Disneyland then look at California. I took my son there as it was cheaper to go for 12 days to Disneyland California than 5 days to the Paris on on the train!

I got excellent flights in the sales, but you have to really hunt them out and be prepared to wait for them to drop. My son and I flew direct for £550 with BA. We booked a very reasonable hotel on teh internet (Ramada maingate) right beside the entrance to the park by credit card. Didn't have to pay till we got there and the exchange rate is so good right now it's so worth it. Plus the weather is pretty much guaranteed. We went for Oct half term/Halloween and were in shorts and t-shirts enjoying 26 degrees minimum. Pick the right time of year and the parks aren't too busy and are open very long hours, till midnight some weeks so the jet lag issue isn't a problem because you just sleep and get up and go when you're awake. During the week we walked on almost every ride, weekends are busier. I hired a car for the whole time, but I wouldn't bother doing that again, just hire when you need it and use the blue bus shuttle from the airport to the hotel.

Virgin are offering cheap hols to Florida, but it's in term time and doesn't include park tickets.

If you want further info get in touch and i'll give you all my insider knowledge. Disneyland is brilliant, my son talks about it non stop even now and his Mickey crocs cost me £11 rather than the £28 they were here in the sale! Definately worth the flight time if you can get it cheap enough, everything there is so much cheaper. Pay for it on the credit card and it's half the $ price tag when you get back with exchange rates as they are at the moment.
