i am not sure why have been on dating site for 6 months with not a glimer of intrest excpet from men i wouldnt consider (sorry if thats harsh) now i have been messages from guys who seem genuine and are just my type>> not after a looker.. but i have to fancy them.. and i do....

I am more confident in myself as i have lost a little weight etc but they dont know that as i havent changed my photo...

and it feels so nice after, ex left me and 2 girls has recentlty got married and i felt so stuck... but now i think i may possibly love again one day.....

I've recently found a lovely guy after 2 years on my own... did the dating site thing too... but found my man through friends.

there is hope out there chocolate spiders... and hope you have a lovely time meeting these interested guys. Just enjoy the attention - good luck

MAMAZON · 10/02/2008 14:08

hopefully your good luck will rub off on me...i need some lol

chocolatespiders · 10/02/2008 14:19

thanks all

It does feel nice..

I am happy on my own with the girls so i am not desperate to meet anyone which is a good thing, but i have got to the stage where i am over my ex (it has taken a while!!) and i am glad i took that time as i needed it, but i also know i am getting older as are my girls... and i also need to think of myself a little bit aswell as i have needs as well.....

wabbit >how long has it been .... does it feel strage after so long... or is it like riding a bike... or has it not been long enough yet for that to have happned for you? dont answer if you dont want...

i read part of you thread mamazon> have you decided what you will do?

Chocolatespiders... Since my ex and I split up? pretty much 2 years exactly, I met my lovely new man last Sept, took 'til new years for anything 'interesting' to happen!!! (It's like riding a bike!!!)

the thing that I wasn't expecting was how seamlessly he fits into the family, extended family too.

I think in the past I've found it really difficult to share my world with a guy, but this time all my control freaky habits just seem to have disolved

You sound like you're in a very similar place to me, happy to be on your own, but would like someone to share your world with

chocolatespiders · 11/02/2008 21:47

oh wabbit that is such a lovely inspiring post.. thanks for taking the time to post it...

so glad you have found happiness.....i hope you have a long and happy future together....

my one stumbling block in all of this is actually having the courage to go on a date.. but i am working on my confidence!!!

Good Luck Chocolatespiders
dating is a bit scarey but remember, trust your instincts (they're rarely wrong... and you'll know in the first few seconds of meeting someone whether they're a Yes! or a No!!)
And above all, let your nearest and dearest know exactly what you're up to, in my experience my sister and friends were a huge support and source of great hilarity when recounting truely dismal dates!!!

chocolatespiders · 13/02/2008 20:49

thanks for the advice....

i am going to set myself a goal of going on a date soon, it is just so scary.... but the longer i leave it the worse it feels
