My two are 4 and 2, and I'm thinking what we can do which isn’t going to cost too much.

We usually spend our weekends at the park, or baking, lots of crafts, visiting local museums etc.. So looking for other ideas.
We live in London and even though we do use buses i really don’t like using public transport for long journeys so limited where to go. It all becomes too stressful for my 4 year old.

There’s plans to meet up with friends which will be nice.
Just seeing what everyone has planned.

Im not sure why but feel a bit apprehensive Confused about half term and im not sure why.

We're not city based, so I have booked 1 free museum activity on the outskirts of a town. Then the other 3 activities, again free, are all from various environmental organisations/forestry etc.

I was very lucky to get all of these and it was just a fluke that I looked at the right time as the places went like hot cakes.

Haven’t got too many plans yet really, was thinking soft play and possibly going to London zoo but we live in SE London so it’s difficult to get there by public transport so it’s off putting. The discover story centre in Stratford is really nice and good for young kids we might make a visit to there we can get the dlr straight there so it makes it easy for us as Like you I hate having to get loads of trains and buses everywhere.

I've booked him into a mum and toddler forest school type morning thing. It's a bit of a trek away and I'm usually working on a friday (booked the week off work) So itll be a nice change

And the obligatory soft play ofc

I think the transport museum is free for children over half term . Then you get added bonus of street performers in Covent Garden.

Free museums, park… don’t have many ideas! We’re stuck at home with eldest DS having covid, and I have reverted to my ‘if all else fails’ Lego in the bath…

15 year old has exams in May so Maths tutors 1 hour each day Mon-Thurs, Science tutor Wednesday and Thursday 1 1/2 hour sessions. Also cricket coaching in Edgbaston nets on Saturday morning and Thursday afternoon. Swimming and ice skating. He is studying a BTEC in Food so he will probably practice a few recipes too.

Well the weather looks a bit dismal for next couple days where we are, but we shall put on our wellies and waterproofs and head outdoorsSmile. Also will head to the museum and cinema. Lots of craft ideas ready too if stuck indoors.
My 2 year is finding his feet and absolutely loves going out walking, as me he can walk for a fair while, daughter loves walking too so if they are happy then I am too Grin

Have a great half term everyone!
