Play dates at school

I want to arrange a play date for my child but don’t have the parents details nor see them often . Would it be odd to ask the other parents in a group chat for their number to organise ? Feels bit creepy or maybe I am over thinking

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don't think this is creepy at all

EdHelpPls · 12/01/2022 19:08

I don't think it's creepy but I'd prob invite the parent too if the kids are smallish and they don't know you. Id not even send my almost 8 year old to a house of a parent I hadn't met in person.
Also if it's WhatsApp group you can click on a message to see the person's contact details.

Thanks - well they aren’t on the group itself so it’s the asking other parents for their number that I feel bit unsure about

If they aren’t on the group then yes it may seem a bit odd, I probably wouldn’t if they aren’t on the group they are unlikely to send their kids with someone they don’t know tbh

You could ask the teacher to pass a note to that parent

unicornsarereal72 · 14/01/2022 07:20

Pass on a note In School bag. Or ask on Facebook group if you have one.

HelloDulling · 14/01/2022 07:24

Why don’t you see the parent?

HelloDulling · 14/01/2022 07:25

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with:

“Does anyone have a number for Max’s mum, please?” on the group.
