Help and advice

I am new to this site, I often have come to this site for help and advice whilst pregnant and as a new parent. I currently work for the NHS and have recently returned to work. I have changed from full-time to part-time as I am a single parent and struggle to find childcare on weekends. I have no family and I can only depend on my friends who have children of their own. I have asked my colleagues how much roughly they come out with and they said £700. I have been told several times I would be better off staying off work whilst my baby is so young (7months) and will regret not staying at home with her during her development years. I just came on here for some advice and help, would I be better staying off work until my child is in nursery then returning? What would I be entitled to as £700 is pretty low to cover rent, bills, etc. I do currently receive child benefits which is £84 pounds a month. Any advice would be brilliant? I would hate to have to give up my career but if I’m no financial better, every weekend is a struggle for childcare and to be honest it’s exhausting as my child doesn’t always sleep through…

You need to input your income on entitled to.co.uk for your working snd not working income to see how you'd be better off- it's impossible to advise on that really, but yes, working as a single parent is utterly exhausting but sometimes necessary
