My ex partner has not given me maintenance for two months. He has a cash flow problem?
I rely on this money (£190) per month to pay my son's football/tennis fees and to provide him with his dinner/bus money.

His dad is a right flash guy, claiming to have made a million in his business last year!

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm the opposite and don't have much advice. My dh and i struggle to get by with just us and owe his ex last months which she'll get on friday with this months. Dh has taken on new job as i'm on mat leave. However your ex seems to be in a very different position and g can't understand why a father would do that if he had the money. Have you approached him about it?

Have you asked him? I would have asked after one as i too rely on his money but this is for my mortgage. Do you have an arrangement through csa? It could be worth going through them.

get in touch with your lawyer?

Has this been organised through the CSA? If not, then perhaps you should submit a claim. For one child he will have to pay 15% of his income. If he claims to have made a million, you could be coming into a tidy sum!

it may be worth starting a claim with the csa, as it can take a while for them to sort things out.

took me nearly a yr to get it sorted, and even now it takes 3 weeks 4 them to send payment to me once they recieve it.

Have never approached the CSA. May need to though. Have had a look on their website, and it seems to me that he would have to declare his earnings.

Being self-employeed surely he would be able to fiddle his wages (claiming expenses instead) and pay himself a tiny wage?

If you have agreed on £190 per month then what the CSA woudl get may be less as it is a very small % of the salary. I thik that a self employeed person may indeed make thier salary look lower for CSA purposes but I am not sure how exactly it works.

My Ex owes me hundreds of pounds and I cannot get him to pay as he just says he has no money. He is meant to give me £300 a month and does pay most months after being asked several times. I looked at the CSa and it would only be about 170 on his salary so I reckon I am beetter to just put up with the irregular payments!
