how many hours do you work during school term?

Just wanted an idea of other's situations. I would be looking to go back to work part time come September only working within school hours.
Is there anyone who works within school hours and if so how many hours a week do you work? I'm trying to work out what may be manageable without it impacting my universal credits too much.
TIA

From a universal credit point, I think 16 hours & under is the way to be the best off financially. I'm currently struggling to find anything around school hours but fingers crossed for us xx

Working will inevitably impact on your uc, but you'd still be better off. However, you'd need to work the minimum number of hours required or earn that equivalent at minimum wage.

I work from home in school hours. Personally, I like the flexibility that pt affords me - I can attend all school events etc, do all drop offs etc.

I personally don't, at this time work ft in school hours, iykwim, but I have colleagues who do 30 hours in school hours. For me, having a day or two to juggle household things and the huge number of medical appointments my lo is important.

Remember the hours /income rules: Age 3 or 4 You will be expected to work a maximum of 16 hours a week (or spend 16 hours a week looking for work). This might include some training and work-focused interviews. You should let your work coach know as soon as you accept a job offer, as you can claim support for your childcare costs for at least a month before you start work. Age between 5 and 12 You will be expected to work a maximum of 25 hours a week (or spend 25 hours a week looking for work). This might include some training and work-focused interviews. You should let your work coach know as soon as you accept a job offer, as you can claim support for your childcare costs for at least a month before you start work.

Aiming for 16 hours if your child will turn 5 imminently probably isn't the way to go as it is probably harder to add extra hours.

And doing less than the hours specified would mean still having to attend the job centre fortnightly.

(sorry for the multiple replies).

18 a week. Mine are at secondary though. One with challenging behaviour so I don't intend to change my hours for the foreseeable future.

Between 60-70 hours a week since DD was 10 months old. Was really very tough when she was younger give her medical needs / appointments. I'm fortunate that my Mum helped when DD was tiny & to be able to work from home - I couldn't do it otherwise. I work before DD gets up, then do the school run, work until pick up then we have our evening & I go back to work when she's gone to bed. Weekends are cleaning, laundry, cooking etc. Unfortunately, in my profession these kind of hours or nothing :-(

not all during school hours but I work 22.5 hours over 3 days, I do the school drop off in the morning then my mum does the pick up and looks after them for a couple of hours until I finish (wfh). I have a 6 and 3 year old and so 3 year old is only in preschool part time atm, when he gets older I hope to spread my hours over more days/increase my hours a little/ maybe have a couple of hours to myself (shock)
