Time with their dad

I have a 15 year old son and 12 year old daughter. Their dad left in April 2019. He's paying maintenance with no issues. That is all he contributes though. No extras or treats when he spends time with them.

My husband sees the children 3 times a week. Doesn't have them overnight as where he is living there is no space.

He comes to my home to spend time with the children, he doesn't take them away in his own or out for the day or back to where he lives.

He says he prefers it when he comes to the house. He refuses to see the children unless I am around.

If I say I am going to meet a friend or just not be there he says he's not coming to see the children.

This just doesnt seem right does it??

For background he got on with a colleague who told him I was being abusive. He says he's now in her spare room and they are just friends and he'd just like his family back together 😏

Obviously he's fucking / living with the colleague !
What information has she been told to conclude you are abusive? That alone would make me cut all contact with him so you can't be accused of anything
His time with them should be your time alone to pursue lovers, friendships or whatever you want!
He needs to have them over his they don't need a bedroom
I always tell the teens I teach that if your boyfriend hasn't given his address or had you round he is hiding something ( usually a girlfriend/wife)
Be assertive surely he wouldn't cut contact with his kids if you were there?
