How do I get out?

Good morning. This is my first time posting on here.

I'm looking for some help and advice.

Me & my children's father have been together 7 years this month. I have a 6 year old & 2 year old.

Me & the children's dad are very very unhappy and have decided its time to separate.

The problem I've got is he works, he owns his own house, car, everything.
I have poor credit. No job. Literally nothing.

How do I move out? Where do I turn for help? I have no idea what to do or where to go. I need to find a place of my own but with poor credit and no job isn't that going to be impossible?

Any help would be hugely appreciated x

Look at the turn2us website about a claim for universal credit. Depending on your children's age. They will be encouraging you to look for work.

Contact your local housing department about local places to rent and deposited schemes.

Also check the CMS site to work out the child support you are entitled too. This will be in a sliding scale depending on the number of nights the children stay with their father.

As MN would say. Get your ducks in a row.

Apply for universal credit online find a house that accepts DSS the once you have the house full in housing benefit online you take the tenancy agreement to the local council office and you will get it paid or a percentage also in my area they do help with bonds for some private houses to worth looking into every area has a housing association

Don't think the DHSS will be pushing you much to find work at present....

Gingerbread, the single parents organisation, has lots of good advice including about finances.
