went to P&T group and it was quite dire to say the least, (bit basic compared to what we're used to! lol. nice ladies/children thou must say that) but have been feeling tearful today.

is this my fault - did I throw it all away as MIL would have me believe? have been doing so well the last 5 days or so - no crying etc all positive. deciding on college even looking at new furniture for the house etc. when I finally get one. but this isn't waht I want. I don't want to be here, I want to be back at home curled up with H on the sofa. DS seems to be unfaxed by it all really. I miss my mates there as well

true, but he can't force her to call the OW mum - it's not on and not right (least that's my mind) I would never tell my DS to call any (hopefully) future partner I have dad - cos he's not DS's dad my H is his dad iycwim.

i agree with you but dd seems to change to please whoever she is with at the time...

i have had to accept that ahe will have a relaationship with ow and first name calling is fine, tuff if they dont like it

thanks for your opinion it helps, sometimes i feel that thye must think i do anything to go against them!!

munz · 19/09/2007 21:28

no def not on that one - and I think a lot of mums would agree with you. We have to accept the OW etc and the relationship they will have wiht our children in teh role of /mother' when we're not there iycwim - ie the nursing/comforting etc and dad's not about but otoh they're no way the mummy - we're the mummy's!

shame your DD feels she has to please who's she's with thou how old is she?

she is only 4

she just seems to know how to behave to make dad happy.....

she is totally different with me at home she is lively, stroppy, full of life ,vary outgoing, funny etc

she started school last week and ex phoned me to say he was very worried that she would get bullied at school, i was shocked as that is not the child i see at all... she is comnfortable with me and can be herself, if she talks about her dad and ow i talk to her nicely about it, yet if she mentions me there the subject gets changed which is very sad, but ex says he doesnt want her to start thinking of me and start missing me so he just distracts her, but i think it would be good if they did talk about me there, so there isnt a divide

sounds like really they should be more open with her. iycwim.

well i'm home today and I def have no intrest in him - I went out for 45 mins came back he's on the compter and DS is running about not being watched etc - good use of their time together after not seein him for 2 weeks. he's staying on teh sofa tonight apparently (my suggestion) so he can have another 2 hours or so tomorrow mornin before we go back home again.

not had any snidy comments about my new look - which is good cos he'd get a slap. he said you can tell you've been home (my accent really comes back strong) DS hasn't really been talkin to him - no matter how much he's trying to get him to talk. tbh DS is here but he's not really iycwim, he's doing his own thing on his own v v to see.

totally unlike what he's like at mums. he's the exact opposite.
